How to Download One Section of a Pinterest Board
Big boards often have sections, like "Kitchen" inside a home board or "Florals" inside a wedding board. Here's how to download just the section you need instead of the whole board.
Board vs section: what's the difference?
A Pinterest board is a collection of pins. A section is a group inside a board. Sections have their own address, which is the board's address plus one more part at the end:
pinterest.com/janedoe/dream-home/ (the whole board)
pinterest.com/janedoe/dream-home/kitchen/ (just the "kitchen" section)PinBoard reads that last part. Paste a board link and it loads the whole board. Paste a section link and it loads only that section.
How to download a Pinterest board section
Go to the board, click the section you want, and copy the address from your browser. It should
end with the section name, like /dream-home/kitchen/.
Open PinBoard and paste the link. The preview under the field shows the board and section names so you know it understood the link.
Click Load Board. PinBoard finds the section, counts its images, GIFs and videos, and you download as usual. The files go to their own folder, named after the board and the section, so sections never mix.
Why download a section instead of the whole board?
- Faster: a 3,000-pin board might have a 150-pin section you actually need.
- Tidier folders: one folder per section is easier to drop into a project, a client handoff or a slide deck.
- Works on the free version: the free limit is the first 100 images per board or section, so a small section often fits entirely.

Downloading every section at once
Paste the board link instead of a section link. The whole board, including the pins in its sections, is loaded together. If you want each section in its own folder, download them one at a time. PinBoard keeps the last 20 boards and sections you loaded in History, so switching between them is quick.
